GMRC Ice Cream Run
The GMRC Ice Cream Run is a competitive running event held in Riverview, New Brunswick. Established in 2022, this race is recognized as a RunTrackie SuperSeries event. The competition features a course that is officially certified (NB-2022-035-BDC and NB-2022-034-BDC) and was measured using the Jones counter method.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- A 5 km race consisting of a single loop.
- A 10 km race which follows a double loop of the course.
The route is flat and starts at the Claude D. Taylor School. Current course records for the 10 km distance are held by Lee Wesselius (32:06) and Sacha Hourihan (42:21). The records for the 5 km distance are held by Jean-Marc Doiron (16:25) and Anouk Doiron (19:17).
Registration is conducted online and must be completed by the August deadline. No race day registration is available for this event. The event serves as a sanctioned competition within the regional running circuit, providing a certified environment for runners to establish personal bests on a flat loop course.
