The GMAA Sap Run takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Westford, Vermont. The event features a 10K road race that is certified (VT21003JK). The race starts in front of Westford Elementary School at 146 Brookside Road and finishes in the school driveway.

Course and logistics

The course is an out-and-back 10K on muddy, hilly country roads through rural Westford. It heads south on Brookside Road and then Pettingill Road, with a turnaround at mile 3 before returning to the school. Entry fees are $15 for pre-registration and $20 on race day; members of the organizing group receive a $5 discount. Online registration opens January 15, 2026 and closes April 5 at midnight; pre-registration is encouraged. The event is open to runners aged 12 and older; runners under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race. Bathrooms are available at the site, but there are no showers. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in the men’s, women’s, and non-binary categories and there will be a random drawing. GMAA and insurance rules prohibit running with a baby jogger or dog; the use of headphones is strongly discouraged. Directions note Vermont 128 to Westford Village, then south onto Brookside Road (dirt); the school is on the left after about half a mile.
