Event overview
The GMAA Sap Run takes place on March 29, 2026, in Westford, Vermont (05494). The event is a certified 10K (VT21003JK) held at Westford Elementary School, 146 Brookside Road. Registration opens December 22, 2025.
Course
The course is an out-and-back 10K on muddy, hilly, country roads through rural Westford. The route starts on Brookside Road in front of the school, heads south on Brookside Road and then Pettingill Road, turns around at mile 3, and returns the same way to finish in the school driveway.
Registration and rules
Entry fee is $15 for pre-registration and $20 on race day; GMAA members receive a $5 discount. Race day registration is available at the school from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. There are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers. The event is open to runners aged 12 and older; runners under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race.
Bathrooms are available at the site; there are no showers. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in the men’s, women’s, and non-binary categories and there will be a random drawing. GMAA/insurance rules prohibit running with a baby jogger or dog. The use of headphones is strongly discouraged.
Directions: take Vermont 128 to Westford Village, then turn south onto Brookside Road (dirt); the school is on the left after about a half mile. Questions can be sent via the race contact form. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
