Event details

The GMAA Sap Run takes place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Westford, VT. The event offers a 10K road race. Registration opens December 22, 2025. Entry fees are $15 for pre-registration and $20 on race day; GMAA members receive a $5 discount. There are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers. The race is open to runners aged 12 and older; runners under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bathrooms are available at the venue; there are no showers. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in the men’s, women’s, and non-binary categories, and there will also be a random drawing.

Course and logistics

The course is certified (VT21003JK) and is an out-and-back on muddy, hilly, country roads through rural Westford. The route starts on Brookside Road in front of Westford Elementary School (146 Brookside Road) and heads south on Brookside Road and then Pettingill Road, with a turnaround at mile 3 and a finish in the school driveway. Directions note taking Vermont 128 to Westford Village and turning south onto Brookside Road; the school is on the left after about a half mile. GMAA/insurance rules prohibit running with a baby jogger or dog, and the use of headphones is strongly discouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
