Glenrothes Road Running Festival
The Glenrothes Road Running Festival is an annual road running event organised by the Fife Olympiad SCIO Committee in conjunction with Fife Sports and Leisure Trust. The festival is based at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre in Glenrothes. In 2026 the festival marked its 43rd year on 14 June.
Race options include a main 10k plus shorter distances for children and families. Entry arrangements and prices are published for each race; the 10k entry fees are shown as £22 and £25 with an early bird discount of 12 percent available until 1 April. SA members receive a £2 discount. A 12 week training plan for the 10k is provided.
Entry points and prices for the shorter races are noted on event information. The 4k is aimed at school-age children and has a published entry price of £5 with entries available through Michael Woods reception, in-school Active Schools representatives, and trackside on the day. The 2k Fun Run is presented as a family friendly run walk or jog with entries priced at £2 and available from reception and at the games hall on the day. The 200m Junior Jog is for under-fives on the running track with on-the-day entries priced at £1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
