Glenrothes Road Running Festival
The Glenrothes Road Running Festival marked its 43rd year on 14 June 2026. The event is organised by the Fife Olympiad SCIO Committee in conjunction with Fife Sports and Leisure Trust and is held at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre in Glenrothes. A 12 week 10k training plan is provided for participants.
The festival includes several race distances with specific age guidance and entry fees:
- 10k Road Race: open to anyone over 15; fee £22, SA members £20.
- 4k Road Race: aimed at school age children; entry £5; entries via reception, schools, trackside.
- 2k Fun Run: family run walk or jog; entry £2; entries at reception.
- 200m Junior Jog: for under fives on the track; entry £1 in games hall.
The 10k entry offers a 12% early bird discount until 1 April; after that registration is priced at £25. SA members receive a £2 discount on the 10k entry fee. The festival has developed into a multi distance event that accommodates youth and family formats in addition to the main 10k race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
