About the race

The Glenmore Challenge Running Festival is a multi-distance event on the Cooley Peninsula that routes runners through the Glenmore Valley and nearby coastal and mountain views. The festival offers a range of distances so participants can select the distance that suits them.

Distances:

  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon

Longer routes pass views of Omeath, Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. All routes include water stations. Finishers receive a commemorative medal; cash prizes and trophies are awarded to top male and female finishers, and additional age-category and team prizes are available. Parking is provided at Mullaghbuoy Community Centre. The event has a nominated charity, the Maria Goretti Foundation. Permit for the event is pending approval.
