Glen Iris 5K & 10K Trail Run
The Glen Iris event offers trail running and walking entirely inside Letchworth State Park in Castile, New York, along the Genesee River Gorge often called the "Grand Canyon of the East." Both distances start and finish near Trout Pond on park woodland trails that include forest, creeks, streams, bridges, and wildlife viewing.
Distances
- 5K trail run/walk entirely on park woodland trails
- 10K trail run entirely on park woodland trails
A water station is located at the 5K turnaround; 10K participants pass this station twice. Bottled water will be distributed at the finish area. Packet pickup takes place at the Trailside Lodge next to the Humphrey Nature Center on race morning. Registrations include a race shirt for those who register by the stated guarantee deadline and a finisher medal while supplies last; a custom finisher medal is planned for the first 250 registered participants. Early and later registration fee schedules are published for each distance.
Timing is provided using electronic RFID equipment and results are available through real time race platforms and kiosks. Awards include overall trophies for first place male and female in both distances, age group decals for the top three in each category, downloadable finisher certificates, and finish line photos. There are no refunds; organizers may postpone, reschedule, or offer a virtual alternative if necessary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
