Glen Iris 5K & 10K Trail Run
The Glen Iris event on September 13, 2026 is a pair of trail run/walk distances held inside Letchworth State Park in Castile, New York. Both courses run entirely on park woodland trails and start and finish near the Trout Pond. The trails include forest scenery, creeks and streams, bridges, and wildlife.

A water station is located at the 5K turnaround; 10K participants pass that station twice. Bottled water will be available at the finish line. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Custom trophies will be presented to the overall male and female winners in both the 5K and 10K divisions. Top three male and female age group winners receive decals to attach to finisher medals. Finish line photos and downloadable finisher certificates with race stats will be available after the race.
Packet pickup takes place at Trailside Lodge next to the Humphrey Nature Center prior to the races. Online registration is open through September 12, 2026, with early and regular pricing tiers for each distance; a shirt size guarantee requires registration by September 4. There is a mail-in registration option that requires completed waivers. The event has a no refund policy and may be postponed, rescheduled, or converted to a virtual alternative if organizers deem it necessary.
