Glen Iris 5K & 10K Trail Run

About the race
The Glen Iris Trail Run takes place entirely inside Letchworth State Park in Castile, New York, along trails that run near the Genesee River Gorge (the Grand Canyon of the East). Both courses start and finish near Trout Pond and follow park woodland trails that include forest terrain, creeks and streams, bridges, and possible wildlife sightings.

A water station is located at the 5K turnaround; 10K participants pass this station twice. Bottled water is also available at the finish line. Packet pickup is held at Trailside Lodge next to the Humphrey Nature Center (6773 Trailside Road, Castile, NY 14427). Online registration remains open until Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Registrants who sign up by Thursday, September 3 at 9:00 AM are guaranteed their requested shirt size. Entry fees: 5K $35 early / $40 later; 10K $40 early / $45 later.
Awards and finish services include custom trophies for overall male and female winners in each distance, age-group awards, chip timing using Jaguar Electronic RFID by Race Management Solutions, real-time results access, finish line photos, and downloadable finisher certificates. Custom finisher medals will be presented to the first 250 registered participants and distributed at the finish while supplies last. Post-race food is provided by the Glen Iris Inn.
