Run a flat, fast 5K on the MCT Trail starting at Glen Carbon's Covered Bridge. The event also features a fun 1 Mile run/walk for all ages. It's part of a local race series offering an extra medal for completing all three challenges.

Course and Event

The event is held at the Covered Bridge on Main Street in Glen Carbon. The main 5K route is on the MCT Ronald J Foster Heritage Trail, described as a flat, out-and-back course.

The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is not timed. Children who finish the 1 Mile receive a finisher's medal.

The event is part of the Goshen Triple Crown Series, which includes two other local races. Participants who complete all three events in the series receive an additional series finisher medal. The series medal is distributed at the finish line of this event.

Schedule and Awards

There is an early packet pickup on the day before the event at Glen Carbon Village Hall.

An awards ceremony takes place on a stage in front of the Covered Bridge. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female participants in each age category.
