Glen Carbon Covered Bridge 5K
The Glen Carbon Covered Bridge 5K is an annual community running event held on June 20, 2026, at the Covered Bridge on Main Street in Glen Carbon, Illinois. The event takes place on the MCT Ronald J Foster Heritage Trail and uses a flat out and back route.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (non-timed)
Registration and logistics: the 5K registration opens March 3, 2026 and closes May 6, 2026 with a registration fee of $25.00. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk registration opens March 11, 2026 and closes June 20, 2026 with a registration fee of $15.00. Early packet pickup is scheduled for June 19 at Runwell, 6120 Shoger Dr Suite D, Edwardsville, IL 62025. Race day registration and bib and shirt pickup are available.
Additional details: finisher medals are provided for all children in the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Awards will be presented for top three male and female overall and top three male and female in each age category: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus.
