Event details
The Glasgow University Aquathlon takes place on 1 March 2026 at Glasgow Club Scotstoun. There are two race distances:
- 750 m pool swim and 5 km run (Sprint Aquathlon)
- 400 m pool swim and 2.5 km run (Novice Aquathlon)
The swim is held in a 25 m pool. Competitors must be able to complete 30 lengths (sprint) or 16 lengths (novice) within 30 minutes. Minimum ages are 17 years or older (sprint) and 15 years or older (novice), both assessed by 31/12/2026. The event is open to the public and is described as paratriathlon friendly.
Entry, route and race details
Early entry prices until 18 January 2026 are £33.00 (sprint) and £19.50 (novice); fees increase to £36.00 and £21.50 after that, with a registration closing date of 22 February 2026. Non-British Triathlon Home Nation members require a race day pass; listed costs are £2.00 (+ £0.08 service charge) for those aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (+ £0.32 service charge) otherwise. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to sign-ups.
The sprint run is two laps and the novice run is one lap, run on pavements; the published route is provisional. There will be a prizegiving for overall and age categories, live timing by the event timing team, and a published withdrawal refund policy with tiered credits based on how many days before the event the withdrawal is made.
