Glasgow Triathlon
The Glasgow Triathlon takes place at Bellahouston Leisure Centre and Bellahouston Park on Saturday 22 May 2027. The event uses a heated indoor pool for the swim and traffic free cycle and run courses around the park. The race is chip timed and described as spectator friendly.
Competitors must count their own pool lengths and their own laps on the bike and run. Wearing a cycle helmet is compulsory for the cycle section. Race numbers, wristbands, and cycle and helmet stickers are collected at registration on the day.
Distances offered include:
- Fun Challenge: 100 m swim, 3 km bike, 1 km run
- Endeavour: 150 m swim, 6 km bike, 2 km run
- Venture: 200 m swim, 9 km bike, 3 km run
- Sprint: 400 m swim, 9 km bike, 5 km run
- Sprint Relay: 400 m swim, 9 km bike, 5 km run
A relay option allows teams of two or three people. Each team member completes one or two disciplines; the electronic chip is passed between teammates in the transition area and returned at the finish. Open and mixed category teams may include male or female members.
Facilities on site include hot and cold food, refreshments, toilets, and grassy areas in the park. A children's fun triathlon for 5–16 year olds is scheduled on the same day.
