Event details

Glasgow Running Festival takes place on Sat 18 and Sun 19 April 2026 at Glasgow Green, Greendyke St, Saltmarket, Glasgow G1 5DB, UK. The event is organised by Up and Running Events and includes a variety of race formats across the weekend, including relays, themed runs, a kids run and a dog dash. Entry options listed include a half marathon, 10k and 5k. Included for participants are a finisher's medal, a goody bag, chip timing, first aid and hydration stations. Prizes are listed for the first three finishers in each gender.

Course and logistics

The running courses are accurately measured and use a 5k loop around Glasgow Green. The loop is fully marked with kilometre markers, arrows and marshals. Runners are required to keep count of laps; athletes completing the half marathon will run an extra section each lap to reach the 21k distance. A water station is located at the halfway point of the loop. Event facilities in the race village include a bag drop and portable toilets near the start and finish area. The organiser plans to photograph the event and share photos after the weekend.
