Glaisdale May Fell Race
The Glaisdale May Fell Race takes place on Wednesday 27 May 2026 in Glaisdale, with the Arncliffe Arms as the event location and finish. The course is approximately 8.5 miles with about 1850 ft of ascent and runs around Glaisdale Rigg, offering views across the North Yorkshire Moors.
The route includes a final mile descent along an old green lane leading off Snowdon Nab and a short water splash before the finish at the Arncliffe Arms. The event forms part of the Esk Valley Fell Summer series.
Entries are limited to 100 competitors and strictly no entries are accepted on the day. Teams may enter with three for ladies and four for gents. The race is for over 18s only. Registration is by confirmation and collection of numbers only and takes place at the Arncliffe Arms.
FRA guidelines will be followed and the race is classed in the BM category of Fell Races. Although mandatory kit is not required for this race, competitors should carry at least a waterproof jacket, 500 ml of fluid and 120 g of food. Entry fees are £6 for FRA members, with membership number required at registration, and £7 for non-members. The event is organised by SilverBack Trails.
