5K Celebration
Girls on the Run New Hampshire holds a seasonal 5K Celebration that serves as the program closing event. The Fall 2026 5K Celebration is scheduled for November 14, 2026 at Memorial Field in Concord, New Hampshire. The course distance is 3.1 miles. Participants in the program receive a commemorative medal.
The event is presented as a non competitive, untimed celebration. Participants are encouraged to walk, roll, push, skip, or run at their own pace. The council provides race bibs for all participants and assigns running buddies for most girls. The course is monitored and supported by volunteers who act as course monitors, water station attendants, parking marshals, merchandise staff, and course sweepers. A safety plan is in place and staff and volunteers receive training on emergency response.
Accessibility features are in place so people with disabilities can participate safely. Designated parking is available adjacent to Memorial Field and volunteer attendants will direct parking; police assistance is used as needed. Additional event elements include merchandise sales, face painting, and selfie stations. Pets and dogs are not allowed on the course for safety and participant consideration. Registration rules noted by the council include required waivers, separate registration for 5K buddies, no refunds, and no rescheduling if the event is canceled due to severe weather or another emergency.
