Terre Haute 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Indiana Crossroads Terre Haute 5K is a season closing celebratory event that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Fowler Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. The course length is 3.1 miles and is set up so participants can walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace. Designated parking and accessible options are available.
Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a commemorative medal. Registered participants also receive a 5K shirt included with registration; additional GOTR shirts are available for purchase. Program participants and coaches are pre-registered for the 5K and do not need to complete separate registration.
The event includes a festival atmosphere with a DJ, dancing, a Sparkle Fun Zone, food vendors, selfie stations and merchandise for sale. Volunteers support many roles such as set up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, cheer stations and the Sparkle Zone. Safety measures include mandatory race bibs, course monitoring by volunteers and bikers, and a sweeper to ensure participants finish; the council maintains a safety plan for emergencies. A 5K Buddy may accompany a participant for the entire course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
