Terre Haute 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Indiana Crossroads council holds a season-closing 5K celebration in Terre Haute on November 14, 2026. The event takes place at Fowler Park, 3000 E Oregon Church Rd, Terre Haute, IN 47802, and includes a preceding Girls on the Run festival with music, dancing, a Sparkle Fun Zone, food vendors, selfie stations, and merchandise for sale.
Program participants and coaches are pre-registered for the 5K. Family members and community participants may also register; online registration was available from September 21 through November 10 with fees listed for adults and youth, and day-of registration is offered at the same adult and youth prices. All registered participants sign liability waivers. Every registered finisher receives a commemorative medal, and registered participants receive a 5K shirt; shirts for Girls on the Run participants are available for an additional charge.
The course is designed to be accessible: participants can walk, run, push, or roll at their own pace and designated parking is available. Safety measures include mandatory race bibs, course monitoring with volunteers and bikers, and a 5K sweeper to support finishers. Volunteer roles for the event include set-up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, cheer stations, and the Sparkle Zone.
