Girls on the Run Central Ohio Fall 5K
The Girls on the Run Central Ohio Fall 5K is a season-closing, celebratory event held on November 21, 2026, at The Obetz Fortress. The event marks the end of the program season and provides participants of all abilities with a tangible sense of accomplishment. The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles), and every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal.
Event activities include pre-5K activities, event-day registration, race packet pick-up and food trucks. A separate Kiddie "Spark" Dash is offered for children ages 7 and under. The event program is presented as inclusive and accessible: participants can walk, run, push or roll at their own pace, and designated accessible parking is available.
Safety measures noted for the event include required race bibs, assignment of running buddies, course monitoring with head counts, and a council safety plan for staff and volunteers. Volunteers undergo background checks. Volunteers support set-up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water and cheer stations, and activity stations such as face painting and happy hair.
