Carroll County 5K : Girls on the Run Central Maryland
The Carroll County 5K is the end of season celebratory event for Girls on the Run Central Maryland's fall 2026 program, held Sunday, November 22, 2026, at 1235 Tech Ct., Westminster, MD 21157. The event completes the season with a 5K course of 3.1 miles, giving program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. GOTR and H&S participants receive a commemorative medal.
Family, friends and community members may take part if they register. The published registration categories include 5K Buddy and Community Runner, each listed at $40; refunds are not allowed. Packet pick-up is available at Run Moore, 28 W Main St, Westminster, on the Friday before the event and on the morning of the 5K. Participants registered by April 27, 2026 will receive a 5K shirt.
Safety measures described for the event include mandatory race bibs, a running buddy system, course monitoring with head counts, and a council safety plan that trains staff and volunteers to respond to incidents. Volunteers appointed through the council undergo a background check. Volunteer roles listed include set-up and tear down, registration, course marshals, running buddies, water stations, cheer stations and Happy Hair.
