Carroll County 5K - 5K Celebration
The Carroll County 5K is the end-of-season celebratory event for Girls on the Run Central Maryland teams. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 22, 2026, at 1235 Tech Ct., Westminster, MD 21157. The course distance is 3.1 miles (5K).
The closing 5K gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment and is described as a joyful, memorable moment. GOTR and H&S program participants receive a commemorative medal. Registered participants will receive a 5K shirt if they were registered by April 27, 2026. Program participants and coaches are already registered for the 5K and do not need to register; family and community members may participate but must register separately. Registration options listed include 5K Buddy and Community Runner, each shown at $40, and the event notes that no refunds are allowed.
Packet pick-up is available at Run Moore, 28 W Main St, Westminster, MD; packet pick-up is intended for anyone other than the girls and coaches. For safety and support, every participant must wear a race bib, each participant has a running buddy, volunteers monitor the course and conduct head counts, and staff and volunteers follow a council safety plan. The event is framed as a celebratory, non-competitive occasion where participants are encouraged to walk, run, roll, push, or skip at their preferred pace.
