Monterey 5K Celebration
Girls on the Run Central Coast holds a season-closing celebratory 5K on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at First Tee - Monterey County, 1551 Beacon Hill Dr, Salinas, CA 93905. The event marks the end of the program season and gives participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. Every Girls on the Run program participant receives a commemorative medal.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles). The event is presented as a non-competitive celebration; while some participants complete the course in about 25 minutes, most finish between 30 and 50 minutes and may walk, run, roll, push or skip at their own pace. Program participants and coaches have already been registered for this 5K and do not need to register again. Community runners, youth runners and running buddies may register; registration categories and prices listed for this event include 5K Community Runner (13+) $35, 5K Youth Community Runner (12 and under) $25, and Running Buddy (16+) $35. All registrations include a liability waiver.
Safety and accessibility measures are in place. Every participant must wear a race bib, a running buddy is assigned or designated for participants, the course is monitored with head counts, and a safety plan guides staff and volunteers.
