GiGi's Dash for Down Syndrome - Monona
GiGi's Dash for Down Syndrome in Monona is a family-friendly, community-focused event held on April 25, 2026 at Winnequah Park. It welcomes participants who run, walk, roll, push strollers, or attend to support people with Down syndrome.
The event program includes a range of on-site activities and opportunities for families and spectators, such as field games, community tables, appearances by mascots, a kids dash, and various treats and surprises.
Event distances and formats:
- 5k fun run/walk
- 1 mile walk
- Kids dash
Registration fees and inclusions are specified by age and participant type. Adults ages 13 and older are registered at $40 and receive an event t-shirt and a special race medal. Children ages 3 to 12 are registered at $20 and receive an event t-shirt, a special race medal, and a kids medal. Children age 2 and under are free without a t-shirt or medal; a t-shirt can be requested by registering at the child rate. Individuals with Down syndrome of any age register at $15.
Online registration closes April 21, 2026. Team captains may pick up team packets before the event; any uncollected bags will be brought to the event on April 25, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
