GiGiFit Acceptance Challenge / GiGi's 5K Dash for Down Syndrome - Tinley Park
This annual peer-to-peer event on June 13, 2026 takes place at Centennial Park, 15600 West Avenue, Orland Park, IL. The event combines timed and non-timed activities and raises funds to support free educational and therapeutic programming for individuals with Down syndrome in Chicago's south suburbs.
Event formats include:
- 5K timed competitive run
- 1-Mile inspirational walk
- Kids' Dash for Down Syndrome
Registration pricing is tiered: adult early bird and regular pricing, child early bird and regular pricing, and a reduced fee for individuals with Down syndrome who walk or run. Early bird pricing ends on May 30, 2026. To receive a free race T-shirt, registration must be completed prior to May 13, 2026. The registration cutoff date is June 13, 2026. Donations are accepted through March 31, 2027.
Team fundraising incentives are offered. Teams that raise $321 by April 30 receive a yard sign along the 5K course on race day. The top fundraising team earns two tickets to the gala held on November 20.
