Giffordtown 5k Road Race : 11 October 2026
Fife Athletic Club organises the 5k road race on a flat, fast out and back course on quiet country roads. A Temporary Traffic Restriction Order will be in place to provide a largely traffic free environment. The course holds an AUKCM measurement certificate confirming the distance is accurately measured. A course map and a route video are available.
Registration is at Giffordtown Village Hall from 10 AM. The start and finish area is approximately 150 m from the hall. There are no showering facilities at the hall, so athletes are asked to arrive ready to run. Parking is available behind the hall with limited on‑road parking nearby.
There will be a prize giving and a Fife AC tea after the race. Prizes are offered for the first three men and first three women and for first athletes in Men and Women U20, Senior and Masters in 10 year age groups. Only one prize per finisher will be awarded, with the overall category taking precedence. A bonus prize of £100 will be awarded to the first man to beat the men’s course record of 14.42 and to the first woman to beat the women’s course record of 16.45.
Entries are non refundable. A transfer service is available under conditions if the race is full and up to 9 October 2025. Entry requirements include eligibility under SAL/UKA rules, being aged 13 or over on race day, and being physically fit to run 5K. Entries for under 18s must be made by a parent or legal guardian. All participants take part at their own risk. Submitting an entry permits Fife AC to use photos for promotional purposes. Prices list a discounted fee of £10 and a standard fee of £13; a service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies. Total places 300. Location: Giffordtown Village Hall, Charlottetown, Fife KY15 7UJ.
