Event Details
The Gibbstown Bridge 5K takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 in Creole, Louisiana. The event is a 5K run.
Course
The race starts on Old Ferry Road near the south end of the Gibbstown/Conway Lebleu Bridge. The out-and-back course goes north over the bridge for 1.55 miles before turning back across the bridge to the finish. From the bridge, participants have views of the coastal marsh and the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge.
Awards and Registration
Age group medals are awarded, typically in 10-year groupings. Race day registration is available for $40.
Event Information
Parking is available under the south side of the bridge and along Old Ferry Road. Participants receive a cotton unisex t-shirt. Packet pick-up is at the bridge on the morning of the event.
Charity and Series
Proceeds benefit the Cameron Preservation Alliance - Sabine Pass Lighthouse Inc., a charity dedicated to restoring the Sabine Pass Lighthouse. The race is part of the Cameron Parish Race Series (Triple Crown) for 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
