The LA Fur and Wildlife Festival 5K & 1 Mile is the 11th annual running event held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in Cameron, Louisiana (70631). The race takes place at 100 Marshall St., at the corner of Marshall St. and Wakefield Rd., near the ferry. The event is part of the Cameron Parish Triple Crown Race Series.

Online registration is available through January 9, 2026; early registration fees are $35 and race day fees are $40. T-shirts are included for registrations completed by January 4 and are guaranteed only for those registered by that date; no event t-shirts are sold at the race. Packet pickup is available on race morning at the race site.
The 5K awards include an Alligator Wallet for the overall male winner and an Alligator Purse for the overall female winner. First through third place awards are given in each age group. All participants receive an alligator tooth necklace. Age groups are 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
The race benefits the Cameron Masonic Lodge #439. The Triple Crown series includes the Gibbstown Bridge 5K in April 2026 and the Lighthouse Run 5K/10K in October 2026; completing all three events in the calendar year earns a special medal.
