Ghostly Gallop 5K and Kids Fun Run
The Ghostly Gallop is presented as the 26th annual 5K and kids fun run benefitting the Hudson Area Library. The event is staged at Hudson Jr./Sr. High School and is contested on a USATF certified and sanctioned course that runs through a residential neighborhood. A separate one-mile course for youngsters borders the Hudson Fireman's Home and Museum.

Pricing for the 5K is structured by date: $25 through September 30 and $30 from October 1 through race day. Participants aged 17 and under receive free entry; children aged 12 and under run the kids course free. Age related discounts are applied automatically after the event waiver is completed.
Event features described by the organizer include bib pickup the day before and on race day, a costume contest for kids with prizes, finisher medals for all participants, a Ghostly Gallop hat for 5K participants, and medals awarded to the top three finishers in seven age categories.
Team entries may include an unlimited number of participants. Team scoring is based on each team’s top four finishers and teams must have at least four runners to be eligible for team scoring.
Participants can create fundraising pages from their registration confirmation. Proceeds from the 5K support library programming for children, teens, and adults, and there are prizes for the individual and the team that raise the most funds.
