5K Beer Run x Gezellig Brewing
The Iowa Brewery Running Series presents a 5K fun run that starts and ends at Gezellig Brewing Co in Newton. The mapped course is approximately 5K, runs through city streets and parks, and includes one notable hill. The event is untimed and open to participants of all ages.
Registration includes one Hug Deal Lager from Gezellig, a collector's pint glass or a Brewery Running Series swag item, and access to onsite festivities such as live music, food trucks, and games when available. A portion of proceeds from the event will support Newton Arboretum. The series reports over $700,000 raised to date across all states.
The event takes place on public roads; participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws and being aware of their surroundings. A valid ID is required to receive alcoholic beverages; participants under 21 will receive a token for a nonalcoholic beverage. The event proceeds rain or shine.
