Get Up Gwinnett 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
The event offers a community running fundraiser featuring a 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk in Alexander Park, Lawrenceville, GA (955 Scenic Hwy S, 30045). Proceeds support YoungLife in Southern Gwinnett, a Christian ministry that introduces high school students to Jesus and supports faith development through relationships with caring leaders. Funds are raised to sustain ministries at Brookwood and Parkview High Schools and to expand outreach.
The course runs entirely on paved roads within Alexander Park. Race awards are given to Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and to male and female competitors in five year age groups from 10 and Under through 80 and Over. The 1 Mile Fun Run is untimed. Base registration prices listed are $15 for the Fun Run and $30 for the 5K, with registration closing March 4, 2026. T shirts are guaranteed for 5K entrants who register by 2/15/26; Fun Run shirts may be purchased for a $5 fee if ordered by 2/15/26 and a small number may be available for purchase after the event.
The race is part of the Black Bag Race Series. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. In case of storms the start may be delayed in 15 minute increments and there are no refunds for inclement weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
