Get Outside 8 Hour
Get Outside 8 Hour is a multi-format running and rucking event held at Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield, VA. The event is organized by Lion's Pride Racing and includes both timed loop formats and a separate 10K option.

The course is a marked 5 km loop with an estimated 150 feet per loop. The loop includes two street crossings with minimal traffic. This course is run in the opposite direction from the Windsor Castle 10 Hour held in July.
Laps are counted and total distance is recorded for each participant. All finishers receive a homemade finisher medal and an additional finisher item. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in each event; ties in distance are decided by the faster time. Rucking divisions require a minimum of 10 pounds in the pack. A fully stocked aid station will be available at the venue and will include hot soup and other hot items; there will be no aid station mid-lap. Participants may set up chairs or tents no larger than 10x10 near the trail. Refunds are not offered in general, and deferral of registration may be possible depending on timing.
