Get Basted Turkey Trot
The Get Basted Turkey Trot is a pre-Thanksgiving running event held in Cumming, Georgia. The event takes place at North Forsyth Middle School and offers several course lengths for participants to choose from. This organized run provides a variety of distances to accommodate different preferences.
Available distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The event includes an incentive for returning participants. Individuals who have completed a race with the organizer between December 1, 2025, and November 13, 2026, are eligible for a free entry into the 5K, 10K, 15K, or Half Marathon on-site races. For those who have not participated in an event within that timeframe, registration is available for a fee.
In addition to the in-person events at North Forsyth Middle School, virtual options are available for all four distances. This allows participants to complete their chosen distance at a location of their own choice. Event merchandise, such as shirts, hoodies, and finisher medals, is available for purchase separately from the registration fee.
