Germanfest 5K Run/Walk/Dash - Guttenberg, Iowa
The Germanfest 5K Run/Walk/Dash is an annual community road event held at 131 S River Park Dr in Guttenberg, Iowa. The route begins in front of the Guttenberg Area Veterans Memorial at Main Street and River Park Drive and follows the riverfront, providing views of the Mississippi River and Lock & Dam No. 10.
The event includes a kids inflatable dash for children ages 8 and under that takes place before the timed 5K. The kids dash uses a short course lined with giant inflatables and is free for eligible children. Registered 5K participants receive a GMHC goody bag.

Awards are given to the top overall female and male finishers and first place medals are awarded in age divisions including 14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over. Registration for the 5K is listed with a fee of $28.45 (shown as $25.00 plus processing and taxes).
The race is part of GermanFest, which features German food and beer, polka music, an open-air arts and crafts market, wiener dog races, beer tasting, and other family-friendly activities.
