Event Overview
The Georgia Police and Fire Games 2026 includes a 5K race. It is held at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA, on June 13, 2026. The event is part of the 42nd annual games welcoming first responders from across the country.
Who Can Participate
The 5K is open to everyone, including civilians, active and retired law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and other public safety professionals. The organizers describe it as a family-friendly event.
Awards
Awards are divided into categories for Police & Fire participants and for Civilians. For Police & Fire, awards are given to the overall male and female winners, as well as to the top three males and females in specific age groups from 20-29 to 50+. For Civilians, awards go to overall male and female winners and the top three males and females across many age groups, starting from 10 and under up to 71+.
Course and Schedule
The 5K will use the certified USATF course map for the Guns 'N Hoses 5K. On race day, bib pick-up and in-person registration begin at 7:00 AM. The race starts at 8:00 AM, with awards scheduled for 8:45 AM.
Registration
Registration fees are $35.00 plus a processing fee for both the civilian and police/fire department categories. The organizers state there are no refunds unless a Refund Protection Program was purchased. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
