Course and awards

Both races start on a gravel road just past the main gravel parking area at the noted "sewer cap" and quickly lead onto grass and dirt trails. The route turns hard right onto Driftwood Trail and is run in a counterclockwise direction. At 2.85 miles the course splits: the short course turns hard left back to the gravel road start/finish (no grass field), while the long course turns hard right and continues onto Driftwood Trail; after exiting Driftwood the long route returns to the gravel road at 7.10 miles and follows it back to the start/finish (no grass field).

Medals and prizes are scheduled for the top three male and female overall finishers in each race and for the top three male and female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75&U). Medal winners must be present to receive awards; medals will not be mailed. Walkers may participate but must be able to complete the distance at a 16-minute-per-mile pace or under to receive an official time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
