Event Overview
The George Washington Day 5K & Fun Run takes place in Warwick, New York. It is organized by the Warwick Historical Society. All proceeds benefit The Historical Society of the Town of Warwick.
Event Details
The event features a 5K race. The course is USA Track & Field Certified (certification NY22048DNB, certified in 2023). The event uses a self-seeded start from an official start/finish arch. Early starts are not permitted.
The race is professionally chip-timed by Second Wind Race Timing. Overall winners are determined by gun time, while age-group awards are based on chip time.
The race starts and finishes at Veterans Memorial Park on Forester Avenue in Warwick. Restrooms are available at the muster area. There are water stations on the course at Mile 1 and Mile 2.
Awards are given to the first overall male and female winners. There are also awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group for both men and women. Age groups range from 12 & Under to 80+.
Practical Information
Packet pickup for pre-registered runners is available on July 17 and July 18 from 12 PM to 8 PM at The Warwick Historical Society's 1810 House on Main Street. Same-day packet pickup is also available at Veterans Memorial Park.
