Bespak GEAR 10K - King's Lynn
The Grand East Anglia Run (GEAR) 10K is a town-centre road race in King’s Lynn that follows a flat, measured 10 km route. The course passes local landmarks including the Red Mount Chapel and Harding’s Pit, follows the River Ouse pathway, and finishes back at Market Place by the Corn Exchange. The event has sold out in recent years and includes multiple spectator cheer points and two on-course entertainment stations.
Included for entrants are a finisher medal, chip timing and a goody bag, with an optional finisher's t-shirt available. Entrants must be aged 15 years or over on the day of the race. Water stations provide 330 ml bottles at fixed locations and recycling bins will be available at each water station.
Race day services include baggage storage using the label on the race number, fixed and roaming first aid provision, a first aid unit near the start and finish, and pacers sponsored by Arla Protein carrying flags with target finish times. Event Village facilities offer food and drink for purchase and host partner charities. MarathonPhotos will take event photographs that can be purchased afterwards.
Sustainability measures include trainer drop-off stations run with JogOn and collection of discarded clothing from the start area for donation. Bone conducting headphones are permitted if volume is kept low so runners can hear marshals and emergency instructions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
