GEAR 10K
The Bespak GEAR 10K is a road running event in King's Lynn that follows a flat, scenic route through the town centre, along the River Ouse pathway and through The Walks. The course passes local landmarks including the Custom House, Red Mount and Greyfriars Tower. The start line is at Tuesday Market Place. The event has attracted large fields and has sold out in recent years.
Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day. The event includes chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, an exclusive medal and an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. Medal engraving is available via iTAB as an optional memento.
The event organiser offers a Mini GEAR run for families on the same day and a Bespak corporate challenge for team entries. Training support is promoted in partnership with Coopah.
Sustainability measures on site include bins across the event village, recycling bins at water stations and trainer drop-off points for JogOn next to the Race Office in the Event Village. Bone-conducting headphones are permitted provided volume is kept low so runners can hear marshal instructions and emergency vehicles. A discount offer for bone-conducting headphones is available to entrants; the organiser provides details on how to obtain the discount code.
