Course and facilities

The route is off road and follows undulating bridle paths and woodland tracks through the Norfolk countryside. There is a short paved section at the start, then farm and woodland paths that are generally dry; a short length of farm track may be wet and muddy depending on recent rainfall. There are a number of optional obstacles on the route. The course crosses the West Acre fords just before the finish; a narrow walkway is provided and runners who plan to cross the fords are advised to have spare trainers and socks available at the finish. A water point is located at the 5km mark.

Portable toilets are available at Event HQ and at the start/finish. Tea, coffee, squash and a selection of cakes will be available at the finish.

Logistics and entries

Event HQ and registration are located adjacent to The Stag pub. Start and finish are at the Stag pub. Parking is off Walton Road with access to The Stag; entrants are asked to avoid driving into West Acre village. There is no formal bag drop; the car park is close to the start and belongings may be left at Event HQ at the entrant's own risk.

Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred. Transfers to another runner are allowed until 10/10/2026. Standard entry fee is £24 and under-15 entry is £20. Dogs are allowed; runners with dogs will start in advance of the main field. Ten random spot prizes will be awarded and a charity raffle will be held.
