GCTC Rocket Man Run 5K & Fun Walk
The event takes place at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center-Main Campus in Shawnee, Oklahoma. It is presented by the Gordon Cooper Technology Center Foundation.
Participants can choose from two activities: a 5K Run and a 1 Mile Fun Walk. The course for the 5K is described as an out-and-back route with inclines and hills. The event cost is $30 for both the 5K and Fun Walk.
The 5K participants will be professionally chip-timed. A kiosk will be available for participants to scan their bib and receive a printout of their time. Official results will be posted on the race website within 24 hours. The top 25 overall finishers will receive a commemorative medal.
Refreshments will be available for participants after the race. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the event at the Marty Lewis Public Safety Center on the GCTC Main Campus. Participants who register by August 1st are guaranteed a short-sleeved, cotton t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
