GCR Firecracker 5K
The GCR Firecracker 5K takes place on July 4 in Naples, Florida. The event uses a double loop course through Lake Park with the race start located on 15th Ave. N. The published race distance is 3.12 Miles.
Packet pick up is available on Friday, July 3 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Naples on the Run, 20 10th St. S., Naples FL 34102. Day of packet pick up begins at 5:30 am in the lot just north of 15th Ave. N. Parking is available in the Fleischmann Park lot off Fleischmann Blvd and on the south side of Coastland Mall.
Participants receive a T shirt at packet pick up and a finisher medal after the race. Age group awards are part of the event. A kids race uses a 1/2 mile loop that starts and ends at the 5K finish line; no sign up is necessary for the kids race. A GCR Freedom Swim is scheduled later the same day at Lowdermilk Park.
Proceeds from the GCR Firecracker 5K go to the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund. Registration opens August 1, 2025 and closes February 28, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
