About the race
Gavin's Hallows' Eve 5K is an event held in Herrin, Illinois on October 31, 2026 at 316 W Monroe. The program includes in-person and virtual options over the same distance. - 5K Run - 3.1 miles - 5K Walk - 3.1 miles - Virtual 5K - 3.1 miles Registration opens June 19, 2026. In-person registration closes October 31, 2026; virtual registration closes November 2, 2026.
The listed registration fee for each event is $25.00. All proceeds will go to Seniors' Project Graduation. Participants are invited to wear Halloween costumes. Awards are presented to the overall male and overall female winners for both the 5K Run and the 5K Walk. Additional awards are given to the top three males and top three females in each age group, excluding the overall winners: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
T-shirt orders will be taken through October 7; a limited number of extra shirts will be available afterward, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
