About the race
Gavin's Hallows' Eve 5K is scheduled in Herrin, Illinois at 316 W Monroe on October 31, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual 3.1 mile options and encourages participants to wear Halloween costumes.

Registration opens June 19, 2026. The in-person events close registration on October 31, 2026; the virtual 5K closes registration on November 2, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00 for each entry type. T-shirt orders will be placed on October 7, and a limited number of extra shirts will be distributed on a first come first served basis while supplies last.
Awards are given to the overall male and overall female winners for both the 5K Run and the 5K Walk. Additional awards go to the top three males and top three females in these age groups, excluding the overall winners: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
