Gator Gauntlet Off-road Triathlon
The Gator Gauntlet Off-road Triathlon is a multisport event held at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Participants navigate the park’s natural terrain through a combination of trail running, mountain biking, and water-based activity. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The course features three distinct segments that allow participants to see the entirety of the state park:
- 4 miles of trail running
- 8 miles of mountain biking
- 1 mile kayak paddle on the Calcasieu West Fork River
Registration options include the Single Off-road Triathlon for individual participants and an Off-road Triathlon Relay for teams. The event's base of operations is located at 107 Sutherland Road. Proceeds from the competition are designated to benefit the maintenance and development of the trails within Sam Houston Jones State Park.
