Gator Gallop 5K
The event is held in Wakefield, MA at the lower common on Church Street, near the intersection with Main Street. The main course is a flat road loop around Lake Quannapowitt that begins and ends on the lower common. Port-a-potties will be available for participants.

- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is intended for children age 10 and under, runs from the lower common on a protected route, and is lined with parents and spectators. Parents do not run the 1 Mile route, so the race may not be appropriate for children under age 5.
Registration details vary by entry type. The 5K registration opens 9/23/2026 and closes 1/14/2027 with a listed fee of $25.00. The Kids 1 Mile registration opens 10/1/2026 and remains open through the event with a listed fee of $10.00. A combined 5K and Kids 1 Mile entry opens 9/23/2026, closes 1/14/2027, and has a listed fee of $35.00.
Proceeds benefit the Greenwood School PTO and the Wakefield Educational Foundation, both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. The Greenwood School PTO supports classroom supplies, library books, STEAM enrichment, and school community events. The Wakefield Educational Foundation provides funding for hands-on learning that is not covered by the school budget. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
