The Gator Gallop 5K takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Events offered are a 5K, a Kids 1-Mile Fun Run, and a combined 5K plus Kids 1-Mile entry. Registration opens February 1, 2026. Event prices listed are $30 for the 5K, $10 for the Kids 1-Mile, and $40 for the combined entry. The Kids 1-Mile is open to children ages 10 and under; parents do not run the 1-mile event.

Course and logistics
The 5K is a flat road race that begins and ends on Wakefield’s lower common and loops around Lake Quannapowitt. The Kids 1-Mile also starts at the lower common; the 1-mile route is protected and lined with parents cheering. Port-a-potties will be available. The race site is at the lower common near the intersection of Main Street and Church Street in Wakefield.
Proceeds and fundraising
Proceeds will benefit the Greenwood School PTO and the Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF), both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Greenwood School PTO funds classroom supplies, library books, STEAM enrichment, and school community events. WEF provides funding for hands-on learning not covered by the regular school budget.
