Gator Gallop 5K
The Gator Gallop 5K includes a road race around Lake Quannapowitt and a kids fun run. Both events start and finish on the Lower Common in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
Participants can register for three event types:
- A 5K flat road race.
- A Kids 1 Mile Fun Run for children aged 10 and under.
- A combined 5K and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run registration.
The kids run is described as a protected route where parents cheer from the sidelines, but do not run with the children. The event states this format may not be suitable for children under age 5.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Greenwood School Parent-Teacher Organization and the Wakefield Educational Foundation, both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Funds support classroom supplies, library books, STEAM resources, and educational programs.
