Gateway to Yosemite 10k

Gateway to Yosemite 5K/10K, Merced

The fourth Gateway to Yosemite 5K/10K takes place on September 20, 2026 at Fahrens Park Disc Golf Course in Merced, California. The course uses trails through the disc golf area and the adjacent dog park, with the 10K turnaround point at General Vang Pao Park. The park offers a spacious area for spectators.

Registration opens July 24, 2026. Registration deadlines and fees vary by event: the 5K registration closes September 15, 2026 with a fee of $35; the 10K registration closes September 14, 2026 with a fee of $40; the Parent and Me 1K registration closes September 14, 2026 with a fee of $15. Participants 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult on the race course.

Proceeds from the event will support a new tortoise exhibit at the Merced Applegate Zoo, intended to provide a safe and engaging habitat and to allow visitors to see and learn about the zoo’s tortoises throughout the year.
