Gateway Track Mile
The Gateway Mile is a one-mile track race held at Gateway High School Track, 3000 Gateway Campus Blvd, Monroeville, PA 15146, United States, on June 11, 2026. The event offers on-site refreshments for participants.
Registration is available from January 22, 2026 through June 11, 2026. Registration for the mile is free.
Organizers plan multiple seeded heats based on mile pace. Planned heats include: Heat 1 under 5:00; Heat 2 5:00 to 5:44.9; Heat 3 5:45 to 6:39.9; Heat 4 6:40 to 7:59.9; Heat 5 8:00 to 9:59.9; Heat 6 10:00 and above. Heats may be added or removed depending on the number of runners present.
Prize structure includes cash awards for overall placings and age groups. Overall prizes for men and women are $40 for first, $30 for second, and $20 for third. Masters 40 and over and Grand Masters 50 and over have $15 awards for men and women. Additional rules specify that a runner breaking a record must win the overall or age division to receive record money. Performance money of $10 is available for bettering the last listed time in a division even if another runner displaces that runner.
Lap splits are provided at each 440 yards, equivalent to four laps plus 9.344 meters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
