Event overview
The Gate River Run takes place on March 7, 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida, with the event site at 301 A Philip Randolph Boulevard. The weekend includes an expo and packet pickup on March 5 and March 6, and race-day events on March 7. The event lists 5,877 participants. The race will use a new start and finish configuration while keeping the same course layout. The organizer has a partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars that offers participants the option to purchase select 2025 home game tickets at special rates, up to 20 tickets per participant.

The 15K uses a four-wave start. Wave 1 requires a submitted qualifying time and is limited to runners faster than a 10:00 minute-per-mile pace; walkers are not permitted in Wave 1. Wave 1 is subdivided into seven color zones (Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, Orange, Black and White) based on qualifying time. Qualifying times must be recorded between June 1, 2024 and the registration date. Later waves do not require proof of qualification and have expected finish ranges and paces: Wave 2 expected finish 1:30 to 2:00 hours (10-11 min/mile), Wave 3 expected finish 2:00 to 2:40 hours (11-16 min/mile), and Wave 4 expected finish over 2:40 hours (over 16 min/mile); walkers should register in Wave 4. Registration fees start at $55 for the 15K and $40 for the 5K, with a $5 discount for ages 19 and under and ages 65 and older. Team scoring requires a minimum of four members.
