The race takes place on Sunday, 4 October 2026 in Cork County. The event is part of the Coillte Summer/Autumn Trail League in Munster.
Race Information
The long course is 6.50 km with a 200 m climb. The event difficulty is rated as easy terrain with less than 200m ascent and under 6km. The short course distance is listed as 0.00 km. The route is fully marked, and the use of GPS devices is permitted.
Mandatory Kit
All runners must bring the following items to the race: a waterproof jacket, a hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalized on the day based on conditions and announced at registration. Runners must have a means to carry all kit. Failure to have the required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification, and random checks may be carried out.
Getting There
The race is located at Garryduff/Rochestown Woods, to the south-east of Cork City. Parking is limited. Participants are advised to carpool where possible. Suggested parking areas include by the Rochestown Inn (across-the-road car park), Upper Belmont Avenue, or Upper Kensington. Parking is not allowed in the lane leading to the woods, and the lane must not be blocked under any circumstances.
Entry Information
Entry opens on Monday, 28 September 2026 at 21:00 and closes on Saturday, 3 October 2026 at 18:00. The entry cost is €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. The entry limit is 250 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
