Logistics, services and rules

A two-day public expo and packet pickup is held at the Ball Event Center in Olathe in the days before the race. Race day packet pickup is at Garmin World Headquarters. Aid stations are placed along the course about every 1.5 to 2.5 miles; water and Gatorade are provided at each aid station and GU is available at 3 to 6 stations. Port-a-potties will be located at or near each aid station. Gear check is located near the start/finish area; items are secured in plastic sacks with bib numbers marked. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity. Races are limited to registered participants only. Baby strollers, rollerblades, bicycles, wheelchairs, skateboards and dogs are not allowed on the course and non-compliance may result in disqualification.

Awards

Trophies are presented for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K. Overall male and female finishers receive 1st–3rd place trophies; Masters (40+) receive 1st place. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets from 18 and under through 85 and over. Age-group and first masters awards are determined by chip time. Pace team members are listed on results but do not count toward awards. Unclaimed age-group awards can be collected at the Olathe Chamber of Commerce within two weeks after race day or mailed to non-local recipients.
