Galva Freedom Fest 5K
The Galva Freedom Fest 5k is a community road race held at Galva Wiley Park in Galva, Illinois on July 4, 2026. The course is an in town route described as flat and covers the standard 5k distance (3.1 miles).
Online registration carries a fee of $25. Registrations submitted on or before July 1, 2026 at midnight include a race t-shirt. Registrations after that date remain $25 but do not include a t-shirt and online registration will not be available; day of race registration is offered.
Awards are given equally to men and women. Trophies are presented in each age division, with the listed age groups from 9 and under through 70 and over. Additional trophies are awarded to the first, second and third men and women finishers from Galva School District 224. A new trophy will be presented to the first Active Military or Veteran to finish. A $100 course record bonus is available to the top male and top female runner who break the current course record.
