The 4th Galloping Grind 10k trail run : event details
The event is a trail run of approximately 10 km held on 23 August 2026. The course follows the original, predominantly anti-clockwise route. The TRA permit number is listed as TBC. Non TRA and non UKA entrants pay a £2 levy.
A start list will be emailed prior to the event with race number information, maps and a course narrative. Race numbers must be worn on the front, unfolded. Manual timing may be used, so visible race numbers are required for an official time. Carrying a mobile phone with ICE information is compulsory.
Facilities and services include limited onsite parking with marshals directing parking, a tail jogger sweeping the course and a finish line timer. A limited edition event T-shirt is included in the entry fee. After having a finish time recorded and handing in the race number at the horsebox, finishers may claim coffee and cake. Results will be posted to the organiser’s website within 48 hours.
Entry pricing progresses as published: £19 until 07 April 2026, £20 until 31 May 2026, and £21 until 26 June 2026. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Total places are listed as 30; current availability is not specified. Children and dogs must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
