Gallop for Hope at La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead, Las Cruces, NM
Gallop for Hope is a community fundraising event organized to support Bridle Up Hope - Las Cruces, a 501(c)(3) Equine Assisted Learning program. The event includes a charity 5K and a one-mile race with proceeds designated for program operations and scholarships that serve girls and women.
Race options include:
- Fire Horse 5K
- Giddy Up 1 Mile
Entry details shown on the event page list a registration fee of $45.29 for each distance. The first 200 paid entries receive a free event T-shirt. Participant medals are available while supplies last. Awards are planned for the 5K top three male and top three female finishers, and for the one-mile top three boys and top three girls age 12 and under.
Timing will use an RFID chip system with camera backup. Race bibs include an attached chip; bibs must be worn on the outside of clothing on the front of the shirt and should not be folded or crumpled so the chip can be read. Participants may keep their bib and chip after the race.
Team entries are supported through HERDS with team competitions for largest herd and most funds raised. The event notes no refunds on entry fees, allows transfers to other races when available, and offers optional race insurance that can be purchased only during registration.
