Gallop for Hope - Las Cruces
Gallop for Hope is a community fundraiser held on September 5, 2026, at the La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead on Runalong Road in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event is presented by Bridle Up Hope - Las Cruces and is noted as the first edition of this race.
Bridle Up Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses Equine Assisted Learning and The 7 Habits to support girls and women. Proceeds from the event support program operations and scholarships for participants in those programs. The event lists a fundraising goal of $15,000.

Race logistics include RFID chip timing with bibs that must be worn on the front of the chest for accurate timing. Bibs and chips may be kept after the race. Participant awards are listed as top three male and female for the 5k, and top three boys and girls age 12 and under for the one mile. The first 200 paid registrants receive a free event shirt, and participant medals are available while supplies last.
Team entries are managed as HERDS with team competitions for largest herd and most funds raised; October 1st is the last day to create or register a herd. The event does not offer refunds on entry fees, though transfers to other events may be allowed and race insurance can be purchased only during registration.
