About the race
The Furry Scurry Fun Run and Walk takes place at Chickamauga Dam in Chattanooga, TN on October 31, 2026. The event offers two distance options for participants and their companions:
- Husky Hustle 5K (3.1 miles)
- Dachshund Dash 1 Mile
Dogs may join participants but are not required. Water stations for both people and pets are provided at the turnaround and at the finish area. Prizes will be available for participants and for pets. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to Warrior Freedom Service Dogs, an organization that raises and trains service dogs for veterans.
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before and the morning of the event: Friday, October 30, at Chattanooga Sports Chiropractic Institute and Saturday, October 31, at Chickamauga Dam Riverpark. Registration uses tiered pricing that changes by date and applies separately to the 1-mile and 5K options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
