About the race
The Furry Scurry Fun Run and Walk takes place at Chickamauga Dam in Chattanooga, TN on October 31, 2026. The event offers an outdoor run and walk where participants may be accompanied by dogs; dogs are not required to take part.
Participants can choose between these distances:
- Husky Hustle 5K (3.1 miles)
- Dachshund Dash 1 Mile
Water stations for both dogs and people will be available at the turnaround and at the finish area. Prizes will be awarded to participants, including awards for pets. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Warrior Freedom Service Dogs, an organization that raises and trains service dogs for veterans.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, October 30 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Chattanooga Sports Chiropractic Institute and on Saturday, October 31 at Chickamauga Dam Riverpark from 7:00 to 8:30 AM. Registration fees vary by distance and by registration date.
