13th Annual Furry Friends Run/Walk
The Furry Friends event is a dog-friendly and family-oriented gathering held at the Jefferson County Fair Park in Jefferson, Wisconsin. This annual event supports the Humane Society of Jefferson County to help homeless pets. The courses are located within the park grounds, providing a flat and scenic route suitable for participants of various experience levels.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5K Run (Timed)
- 5K Walk (Untimed)
- KidK Obstacle run/walk
The KidK Obstacle run/walk is specifically geared for children between the ages of 1 and 6, although anyone is permitted to register. This specific course includes various activities such as color powder, hopscotch-style obstacles, and a rail yard. All participants in the KidK event receive a medal upon completion, though no formal award ceremony is held for this distance.
For the 5K Run (Timed), an awards ceremony follows the completion of the race. Raffle winners are also drawn and announced during the post-race activities. The event provides opportunities for both individual participation and involvement through groups or corporate teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
