Furry Friends
The Furry Friends is an annual charity run and walk that supports homeless pets through the Humane Society of Jefferson County. The event is held at Jefferson County Fair Park in Jefferson, WI and is presented as the Humane Society’s 13th annual Furry Friends 5K Run/Walk.
The event offers a flat scenic course described as accessible for first time walkers and runners alongside more experienced runners. It is family and dog friendly and includes a mix of timed and untimed options:
- 5K Run timed event
- 5K Walk untimed event
- KidK Obstacle run and walk geared for ages 1 to 6 though open to all registrants
Packet pick up is available at the Humane Society location on the Friday before the event, with additional packet pick up and day of registration at Jefferson County Fair Park. Awards and raffle drawings are part of the event program. KidK participants each receive a medal; there will not be a separate award ceremony for the KidK run/walk. The KidK obstacle course includes activities such as color powder, hopscotch style obstacles, a rail yard feature, and other play elements tailored to young children.
