Frozen Assets 5K Run/Walk
The Frozen Assets 5K is a winter sports event held in Madison, Wisconsin. Participants complete the course entirely on the surface of frozen Lake Mendota. The route provides views of downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
The start and finish lines are located at The Edgewater, situated within the Frozen Assets Festival. The event offers options for participants to move across the ice on foot or by skating. Registration is available for different participation styles:
- 5 km Chip-Timed Participant
- 5 km Walk or Untimed Participant
- 5 km Skate
Children aged 10 and under can participate for free when accompanied by a registered adult. Registration fees vary depending on the chosen category and whether the participant selects timing services. In addition to advance registration, day-of registration is available at the event location.
