Event
The Frozen Assets 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Madison, Wisconsin. The course is held entirely on the frozen surface of Lake Mendota and starts and finishes at The Edgewater (1001 Wisconsin Place). The route offers views of downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus and takes place within the Frozen Assets Festival. The event is organized by Clean Lakes Alliance and is open to both on-foot and skating participants.
Registration and details
Entry options include an untimed walk participant and a chip-timed participant, plus a skating option. Standard registration fees listed are $45 for in-person walk/untimed participants and $55 for in-person chip-timed participants; pricing covers both on-foot and skating options. Children 10 and under are free with purchase of an adult registration when the child’s birthdate is entered. Prices increase after February 5, 2026.
