About the race
The Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race takes place January 16, 2027 in Concord, NC at 3702 Sapp Road on a private trail network. The course is a 6.2 mile (10K) loop composed of about 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and all dirt. Each loop has approximately 1,350 feet of elevation gain and includes a creek crossing, hardwood forest sections, and mature pine stands.
Runners return to a staffed aid station each loop. The aid station offers standard snacks, Tailwind, and home-baked goods; hot cocoa may be available in cold conditions. Only full laps count toward an individual’s distance total.
Finisher recognition is provided to anyone who completes at least one full lap. Completing five full laps within the six hour time limit equals about 31 miles and earns a custom 50K artwork. Awards are given to the top overall male and top overall female finishers. Competitive category awards and records in the male and female divisions are restricted to individuals whose sex assigned at birth aligns with that division.
Parking is available on site and across the street; carpooling is recommended. Due to the small field size and event costs, refunds are not offered. Entry fee listed at USD 82.18 and registration closes January 13 at 11:59 PM ET.
