About the race
The Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race is held on a private network of trails near Concord, NC. The course is a 6.2-mile (10K) loop composed of about 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and entirely dirt, with approximately 1,350 feet of elevation gain per loop. Only full laps count toward an entrant’s total distance.
The loop includes a creek crossing, stretches of hardwood forest, and mature pine groves. The terrain features-steep climbs and descents that reflect the local Piedmont landscape.
A central aid station returns runners to the start area each lap and offers standard aid station snacks, Tailwind, and a selection of home-baked goods. If temperatures are low on race day, hot cocoa may be available.
Finishers who complete at least one full lap receive a finisher award. Runners who complete five laps (31 miles) within the six hour time limit receive a custom piece of 50K artwork. There are awards for top overall male and top overall female finishers. Competitive category awards and records in the male and female divisions are restricted to individuals whose sex assigned at birth aligns with that division.
Parking is available on site and across the street; carpooling is recommended. Due to event size and costs, refunds are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
