Event
The Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race is a timed trail running event scheduled for January 10, 2026 in Concord, North Carolina (3702 Sapp Road). The event is held on a private trail system. Participants have a six-hour window to complete as many full loops as they choose; only full laps count toward the distance total. Completing one full loop qualifies a participant as a finisher. Entries are limited and registration closes on January 7, 2026.
Course and logistics
The course is a 6.2-mile (10K) loop that is about 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and entirely on dirt. Each loop contains approximately 1,350 feet of elevation gain. Trail features include a creek crossing, hardwood forest sections, mature pine groves, and a mix of climbs and descents. An aid station is located at the loop turnaround and is described as fully stocked with standard aid-station items, Tailwind, and home-baked goods; hot cocoa may be available in cold conditions. Parking is available on site and across the street. Packet pickup will be held on site. Awards include a finisher award for completing at least one full lap, a 50K award for completing five laps (about 31 miles) within the six-hour limit, and top overall male and female awards.
