Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race
The Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race takes place on a private network of trails near Concord, NC at 3702 Sapp Road. The course is a 6.2-mile (10K) loop that returns to the same aid station each lap and is not open to the public on other days.
The loop is composed of 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and 100% dirt, and it includes a creek crossing, hardwood forest sections, and pine groves. Each loop gains approximately 1,350 feet of elevation and features sustained climbs and descents. Only full laps count toward an entrant's distance total.
Distances
- 6.2 miles per loop
- 31 miles for five laps
A fully stocked aid station is available on each lap with standard snacks, Tailwind, and home-baked goods; hot cocoa may be available if conditions are cold. Parking is available on site and across the street, and carpooling is recommended. Packet pickup will be held on site. Due to event size and costs, refunds are not offered.
Awards include a finisher award for completing at least one full lap, a custom piece of 50K artwork for completing five laps within the six hour time limit, and top overall male and female awards. Competitive category awards are restricted to individuals whose sex assigned at birth aligns with that division. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
