Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race - Concord, NC
The Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race takes place on a private network of trails in Concord, North Carolina. The course is a loop of 6.2 miles (10K) composed of approximately 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and entirely dirt. Each loop includes about 1,350 feet of elevation gain and features a creek crossing, hardwood forest sections, and mature pine stands, with a mix of climbs and descents.
Race scoring counts only full laps within a six hour time limit. Finisher recognition is given to participants who complete at least one full lap, and a custom 50K artwork award is presented to those who complete five laps (about 31 miles) within the time limit. Awards are also planned for the top overall male and female finishers. Category awards and records in the male and female divisions are limited to individuals whose sex assigned at birth aligns with that division.
An on-course aid station returns runners to a central location each loop; it is stocked with standard snacks, Tailwind, and home-baked goods, and hot cocoa may be available if conditions are cold. Parking is available on site and across the street; carpooling is suggested when possible. Registration closes on January 13, and the event carries an entry fee as listed by the organizer.
