Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race
The Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race is scheduled for January 16, 2027, in Concord, NC, at 3702 Sapp Road. The event uses a private network of trails on land that is normally closed to the public.
The course is a loop of 6.2 miles (10K) with mixed surface and features: 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and all dirt. Each loop includes 1,350 feet of elevation gain, creek crossing(s), hardwood forest sections, and stretches under mature pine stands. The terrain contains sustained climbs and descents that reflect significant vertical change for the Piedmont region.

- Five laps equals 31 miles within the six hour time limit
An aid station at the loop return is stocked with standard snacks, Tailwind, and a selection of home baked goods. Hot cocoa may be available if conditions are cold. Parking is available on site and across the street; carpooling is recommended when possible.
Awards are given to anyone completing at least one full lap and to those who complete five laps within the six hour limit, including a 50K award. Overall male and female awards are also listed.
