Event overview
The 2026 Frostbite Finale is a running event on January 24, 2026, offering the following race distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
The course runs along the Virginia Capital Trail and starts and finishes in Williamsburg near the Jamestown Settlement. The route is flat and paved with no major hills; the 5k and 10k courses are both out-and-back. The event benefits the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation. Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available.
Logistics and amenities
The event is chip timed. Registered participants receive a finisher’s medal and a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for entries made before January 14. Early registration pricing (through December 31) is listed as: 5k $30, 10k $45, Half $65; prices increase after that date and by $5 on race morning. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Water stations: one on the 5k route at mile 1.55; three on the 10k at miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65; Gatorade is available at some stations. Portajohns will be onsite.
