Event Details
The Frostbite 5K Prediction Run takes place on February 14, 2026, at Munroe Falls Metro Park. This is a time prediction race, meaning the winner is the participant who finishes closest to their predicted time, regardless of their speed.
Participants receive a custom Valentine's Day warm crew sweatshirt as the event's winter wear giveaway.
Rules and Logistics
The event emphasizes a fun spirit and prohibits timing devices, including watches, GPS units, heart monitors, headphones, headsets, or earbuds during the race. Awards are given for predictions under 50 minutes. Pets and strollers are not permitted on the race course due to insurance restrictions.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Ritchies Sporting Goods in Tallmadge, or on race day morning.
Course and Notes
The course consists of two laps around the lake on park roads before finishing in a parking lot. The event is entirely outdoors in February, and participants are advised to dress accordingly and be prepared to wait in their vehicles. Post-race snacks are provided.
