Event overview
The 2026 Frostbite 5K Prediction Run is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Munroe Falls Metro Park in Munroe Falls, Ohio. The event is a prediction-style 5K run and walk in which awards are given to the participants whose actual finish times are closest to their predicted times rather than to the fastest overall finishers. The race is entirely outdoors.
Entry, fees and packet pickup
The listed entry fee is $25, with the price increasing after January 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. Early packet pickup is the day before the race at Ritchies Sporting Goods, 137 South Avenue, Tallmadge, OH 44278, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Race day packet pickup is available at the park from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM.
Course, rules and awards
The course consists of two laps on the park road that circles the lake plus a service road spur before finishing in the parking lot. No timing devices are allowed during the race, including watches, GPS units and heart monitors. Headphones, headsets and ear buds are also prohibited. Pets and strollers are not permitted on the course due to insurance restrictions. A winter wear giveaway will provide a warm crew sweatshirt, and awards will be distributed to runners closest to their predicted times. In the event of a snow emergency or dangerous weather, the race may be canceled and entrants will be advised about hat pickup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
